Dear Out of Staters,

Welcome to Chapel Hill, the home of 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball National Champions!

Y'all made a great decision to attend UNC, and I can guarantee your experiences here will live up to your greatest expectations. Since all of us are away from home, most for the first time, the Out-of-State Student's Association is here to help you get acclimated to Carolina.

We are a student-run organization (the second largest on campus) whose sole mission is to serve you. We offer a variety of social and volunteer activities throughout the year, along with special services available only to OSSA members. These include airport shuttles, ice cream socials, monthly volunteer activities, and the ever-popular Bojangles nights. (If you don't know what Bojangles is, ask around.) In addition to these opportunities, we serve as the Out-of-State voice during the annual tuition process.

Carolina is a wonderful place, and these 4 years have the potential to be the best of your life. There's so much to do here, so make sure to take advantage of your time here, and let OSSA do everything we can to help you.
